Scope of Studying History as a Method Paper :

History as an academic discipline deals with the study of societies and culture of a certain time-period or long periods of time, to enhance our understanding of the past. A historian’s job is to study and research history, and communicates it through written or published works. With the development of historiography, the scope of the study of history was also changed. Till 19th century history was confined to the study of the political events and institutions. But at present, the social, economic, moral and literary life of the people is also included in the scope of history. For those who have an interest in teaching can share their knowledge by becoming a teacher either for primary schools or for universities. To be a teacher you need to have pursued history in your graduation and should have pursued B.Ed.
